  2. High quality 5 Star Review

this was exactly what I needed, well made sling that prevented the need to drill holes in my stock. Quality leather work, heavy duty product with strong laces. What I expected from October Country. This is my 3rd sling from OC---two are on Henry lever action rifles, and one on a Henry single shot shotgun. They look great and authentic for these guns.

Bought this sling to carry my renegade and Hawken flintlocks. Works very well on all. I've even used it on my Henry lever action. Very happy with it.

  5. Great for lever guns 5 Star Review

I bought this to put on a Cimarron 1873 Sporting Rifle. It fits the rifle very well. The part the laces onto the butt and the loop that goes around the barrel and magazine both hold securely and do not interfere with the sights. The leather and overall manufacturing quality are top notch.

  6. A great piece of leatherwork at a great price.....but. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 18th Jan 2019

A great piece of leatherwork at a great price.....but like anything there will be shortcomings. I gave it 5 stars because it really is a nice item! I have a Lyman Trade rifle and the stock isnt all that wide. The lace ends of the buttstock wrap are not long enough and should be cut with a taper to fit the taper of a buttstock. The wrap barely gets around the stock and uses up nearly all of the lace to get it tied. The lace holes end up out at the edge of the stock and nowhere near close to coming together. If the buttstock wrap was just an inch and a half longer around it would work perfect. In the struggle to get it tied the leather lace snapped as well. It would probably fit a 30-30 stock but not very well on my flintlock.

  7. Very nice sling for a flintlock 5 Star Review

I wanted a nice leather sling for my CVA Hawken flintlock and this fit the bill nicely. A little bit of leather conditioning and it will look like it's a period type piece, although it's a beautiful sling as it is. I've had it out hunting and it did great, no problem with sight picture.

  10. Universal sling 5 Star Review

Well made sling...looks great on my Hatfield flintlock. Even though the front of the sling covers the barrel I still get a perfect sight picture. Have already had several compliments my first time at the range.
