  1. Must have bag for fowling gun 5 Star Review

Posted by on 8th Dec 2022

Have an old English-style percussion fowler and needed a proper bag to hold the various wads and other accessories needed for field use. Found this on October Country and certainly not disappointed! Exactly as described and large enough to hold everything. Very well made with leather that is both supple and tough. Certain that over time it will take on additional character and provide many years of faithful service.

  2. Very pretty 5 Star Review

I now have a prettier purse than my wife haha. Looks great at fits all my stuff for muzzleloading shotgun. Two pockets for wads (3 would be ideal but hey) and a spacious main bit that fits my powder, shot pouch, plastic cups, and a 6.5" cleaning kit

  3. Essential equipment for me! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 11th Jun 2020

I've had this product for about 10 years, and use it constantly throughout most of the year for shooting skeet and sporting clays as well as pheasant hunting, and training bird dogs. It has held up really well. After 6 years or so, the shot snake seemed to show wear, but it's still going strong after another 5 years of pretty hard use. The leather is of very good quality (strong yet supple), the stitching has held up perfectly. The edging isn't rolled and stitched, which would at least triple the cost of the bag, and it clearly does not need to be. It is an excellent investment

I just purchased a second identical bag which will allow me to have one set up for clays, and the other set up for field. The switching back and forth is just complicated enough that things go wrong occasionally. "Oops! Anybody have any 13 gauge overshot cards with them?" One time another shooter helped me pick up twenty gauge wads off the field and we found enough to get through the round.
