Product Description
This pistol cover is made of the same material as our rifle cover, a heavy horse blanket material with a heavy canvas lining (photo above does not denote color scheme availability). We put the scalloped light weight leather around three sides for durability. It measures 24" in total length. With 18" to cover your pistol, a 6" flap folds over the cover and ties down with a sturdy lace. Colors are limited, might not be able to give the color you want. Made in the USA by October Country, a manufacturer of muzzleloading supplies.

I've been looking for something nice to carry long cap and ball and SAA pistols to the range. There's just not much out there for those 7 and 8 inch barrels. These cases are absolutely great. Very nice quality, thick enough to protect, and great looks to compliment the guns within. I wild definitely recommend them for any of your larger pistols.

The "Go-For-It" case

I recently got my first muzzleloader pistol with a 9-3/4" barrel. The OAL is almost 15" that made it a challenge to find a carry bag for it. A friend with a similar length revolver shared about purchasing one of these pistol covers, so I checked it out. The appearance looked really cool, and based on the measurements it looked like a good fit. It is a perfect accessory for my pistol! Even got some compliments on its almost-period looks at my first range visit with it. My recommendation is to "go-for-it." It is a quality pistol cover.

An excellent carry case for a muzzleloader pistol.

The case is long enough for most any muzzleloader pistol. The outer material is a tough course weave with colors reminiscent of Southwest patterns. The inner lining is a nice touch which adds some protection for the gun. The case lacks a foam layer which is commonly used in most soft cases today and as such will not protect against more severe knocks. The materials do not appear to offer any meaningful protection against water. If you are reasonably careful with your firearms this case will be just fine. If you are used to tossing your guns into the back of your pickup along with the rusty jack, axes and shovels...find something else
