Description
A traditional short starter. You can select a handy loading tool feature of the brass rod leg with a 10-32 or 8-32 drilled tip. The handle is made from antler. 1/4 "sized to fit .32 brass only, 5/16" size for .36 to .40 caliber and for .45 caliber or larger 3/8". Made in the USA by October Country, a manufacturer of muzzleloading supplies.

Solid Starter
Bought Antler short starter with brass rod. Very well made the brass rod is pinned to handle. I got a 2nd one as a cleaning rod for my Remington.

Antler Handle Short Starter
I replaced my broken short starter. The wood leg broke last summer. I saw these Antler Handled starters with the brass leg for what I'm sure will be very durable. I also like the Antler handle since it will be less likely to fall through the strap on my possibles bag.
