The finish and fit on this universal sling I put in my Hawkin 50 cal. Rifle is beautiful. The color is perfect. It installs and removes easy. Stays put during the hunt. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a traditional black powder rifle sling. You can’t beat the price either.

I bought this sling to tote my Denix replica blunderbuss for my pirate themed renn faire character. The butt end of the stock is significantly wide, so I just tucked the end piece underneath the leather collar and cinched it up closer to the trigger guard. The rustic suede and leather give a very authentic feel and look to the piece, and now I can carry the blunderbuss on my shoulder, instead of having to carry it in my arms. The leather is excellent quality, as was the service from October Country! I'll be sure to revisit the site for my actual blackpowder needs!

I bought my T?C 50 Cal flintlock kit from a local gunsmith for $135 in 1985 and that price included bluing and gold lettering inlay. I have arm cradled that thing through the woods ever since because I refused to alter that gun in any way to accommodate a sling. I stumbled across October Country's site and when I saw this sling, I had to have one. It fit perfectly, is a quality sling, and works like a charm. If you need a sling, this one is for you.
