The breech plug scraper is used to scrape loose the build-up on the breech plug of most muzzleloaders. Our version is a brass scraper with ends cut to conform to the T/C breech plug powder wells. Improves reliability and consistency of ignition. Made in the USA by October Country, a manufacturer of muzzleloading supplies.

This breech scraper reaches into the patent breech recess in a T/C Renegade or Hawken- lets you scrape out the fouling before flushing out the barrel. Reduces the chance for hangfires/ misfires.

This is the only way to clear the residue in the TC patent breach without removing the breach plug. I was surprised at how much gunk was in there.
Needless to say, works very well.

I have a T/C Cherokee rifle and needed a scrapper that fit the bull shaped powder well. This scrapper is just what I needed with the rounded design to fit the powder well. I highly recommend this scrapper for rifles with the round powder wells

This scraper isn't going to leave any fouling behind because it's shaped to get into the concave area of the breech plug.

I have been cleaning my TC Renegade for at least 15 years without one of these scrapers. I read about them and used it after a good cleaning and I did get more crud broken loose. My hope is that this will take care of a hang fire and no fire issue. Thanks for a good product

Purchased a used T/C Renegade and found the powder well to be fouled pretty thickly. Was able to get most out with a straight scraper but the stuff in the bottom wasn't budging, not even with extended flushing with soapy water. After about 10 minutes of scraping with the rounded T/C scraper it was down to metal and clean. Highly recommended!
