Sight unseen
I've been looking for a while now for a good white horn, but it seems all my tried-and-trues are out of stock. I typically don't buy sight-unseen, but I thought, after reading the reviews, I'd take the plunge. I wasn't disappointed. While the inside had some hefty ridges, that can be remedied. It's been a good while since I've seen a horn whiter than this. I'll be back.

Polished cow horns
Nice high quality polished cow horns ready to be made into powder horns without the need to do the heavy scrapping.

Excellent quality
These were my second order of horns. They were as awesome as the first two I had ordered. October Country is my go to folks for my future purchases.

Nice horns
The horns were nice but first shipment was packed in bubble wrap but inside plastic bag and one was cracked. I called and they were nice and sent a replacement no charge. But still the replacement was in a box to small and horn broke through box , but was not damaged.

NICE HORNS
I did not make any special requests, just for two scrimshawable horns. Color is good, polish is excellent, bases are a bit squashed but with some heat and a forming plug, should round-out nicely. Used to paying a quarter as much at Dixons Gunmakers Fair each year and being able to sort through the pile, but this is the best alternative I've found yet. Reasonable in price, good quality; next time I'll ask for some 'hand-pick' if possible to get a few with larger bases.

IDEAL FOR SCRIMSHAW
Received my order quickly and I was impressed with the quality of the product I received. The horn is well polished and displays a creamy white coloring (Ideal for Scrimshaw) over 90% of the surface. Only toward the tip does it begin to darken, and this area is usually best treated with ornamental carving. The base of the Horn is a little oval-shaped (actually oblong with a flat side) instead of being round; this will make fitting the end plug a little more tedious(this is the reason for only 4 stars-otherwise it's a 5-star product!) The inside has been well cleaned and this horn could be put directly into powder service if I didn't have a scrimshaw scene to carve. Well worth the money and I'll be ordering more in the future.
