Product Description

Phosphorous Bronze bore brushes distributed by MSM. The wire in these brushes will reverse easily in the bore. The solid bases are drilled, then the brass wire stem is inserted thru the base and assembled with the wire bristles. This prevents the brush from pulling off the base and becoming lost in the barrel.

Good quality, very nice, much better than other brushes I have used. I would recommend these to anyone.

  2. The best of the BEST1 5 Star Review

Been looking for these for a LONG LONG Time. Finally found them. All the other brushes are "crimped" to a twisted wire which holds the bristles. These are actually wired THROUGH the attachment.
What this means, is the brush will NOT pull out of the attachment, leaving the brush inside the barrel, and the attachment part on your ram rod! (When this happens, it is sometimes a major surgery to remove that brush from your barrel if you cannot remove the breech plug! (Especially on percussion and Flintlocks!).

I have lost 2 brushes in barrels because of the other style brushes. You can't get any better than these for what they are. If they are twice the cost, it is still well worth it.
Stay away from T/C brushes. . .they are the ones that are crimped!

Now, the only con about this brush. . .I wish that the bristles would go ALL THE WAY to the VERY end of the brush. They don't. They come within about 1/4 of an inch. This means the bottom 1/4 of an inch of your barrel does not receive any of the bristles.

Though this may be a con, one must realize I have YET to see *any* brush that has bristles all the way to the end. Thus, this con could be actually an improvement on an excellent product in which a company could make.
