Makes loading your rifle with the under-gun rod much easier. The 1 1/2" diameter hardwood ball fits easily in your hunting bag but provides great leverage for firmly seating the bullet when loading.

functional but cheap

These are just a wood ball with a hole drilled all the way through it and a 10-32 screw glued in it, you can see and feel the phillips head screw on the palm side of the ball. For the price of these I expected a better made product with a brass insert. 1 star for looks and 4 starts for function.

Purchased this to go with my Hickory Replacement Ramrod. It's perfectly suited for saving your palm while forcing a cleaning jag with patch down your barrel. I can't imagine trying to do this without the Palm Saver!

Perfect size for my L/XL hands, nicely made and functional. Looks great on a wooden rod with an extra threaded tip (both available here).
